Logo Development - A look under the hood

NeuSeed had worked for years to map the genetic code for potatoes. They approached us to create a logo that communicated the technical benefit while appealing to the heritage of local farmers. Our design process varies by client and project requirement, it generally includes the following steps:

1 - Ideas & Concepts

Logo design starts by exploring who you are, market position, and target audience. We consider all those factors, and explore a wide range of options to meet business objectives in the most competitive way.

2 - Digital Mock-ups

After exploring various concepts, we mock up a range of possible design directions. Frequently, we narrow to a more tightly defined direction, then provide a series of related concepts. In the end, we review our best logo ideas with the client to determine the final design.

3 - final artwork & Business Card Design

We refine the logo for final review based on client feedback and/or user testing, then provide final artwork in a range of digital formats. We can also use the approved logo to create business cards, stationery, or collateral. We typically oversee design all the way through production, which may include working with printers to provide press ready digital artwork.

4 - using a new Logo

As a final deliverable, we frequently help clients apply their new logo in ways that work for their business. We provide formats which import for offset printing, embroidery or screen printing, making fabrication an easy transition.
